1. About Mustard Seed Mercantile

Mustard Seed Mercantile is a faith-based small business offering handmade candles and other products designed to encourage time with God and personal spiritual growth.

Our products are handcrafted in small batches. Because of this, slight variations in color, scent, appearance, labels, or packaging are natural and make each item unique.

2. Orders

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian.

  • All billing and shipping information you provide is accurate.

  • You are authorized to use the selected payment method.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including orders suspected of fraud or abuse.

3. Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Prices may change without notice. The price charged will always be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.

Applicable sales tax will be added where required by law.

4. Pre-Orders

Some products may be offered as pre-orders.

For pre-order items:

  • Estimated shipping dates are estimates only.

  • Production times may change due to supply availability or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Customers will be notified if significant delays occur.

5. Shipping

Orders are processed as quickly as possible.

Processing times vary depending on product availability and order volume.

Once an order has been shipped, Mustard Seed Mercantile is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • USPS or other shipping carriers

  • Weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer

  • Other circumstances outside our control

Customers are responsible for providing the correct shipping address before placing an order.

6. Returns & Refunds

Due to the handmade nature of our products, all sales are generally final.

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged during shipping

  • Defective

  • Incorrect

please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the product and packaging. We will work with you to provide a replacement, store credit, or refund when appropriate.

We do not accept returns for:

  • Buyer's remorse

  • Preference of scent

  • Minor handmade variations

  • Products that have been used

7. Candle Safety

Candles should always be used responsibly.

By purchasing our candles, you agree to follow safe candle practices, including:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Keep away from children and pets.

  • Burn on a heat-resistant surface.

  • Keep away from flammable materials.

  • Trim the wick before each use.

  • Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains.

Mustard Seed Mercantile is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper candle use.

8. Product Information

We strive to describe our products as accurately as possible.

However, due to differences in monitors, photography, and the handmade process, actual colors and appearances may vary slightly from what is shown online.

9. Faith-Based Content

Many of our products include Scripture and Christian themes.

Our products are intended to encourage personal reflection and Bible study. They are not intended to replace pastoral guidance, counseling, or professional advice.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content, product names, photos, logos, designs, graphics, and written content are the property of Mustard Seed Mercantile unless otherwise stated.

No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mustard Seed Mercantile shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
