Our Story
People often ask me what inspired me to start Mustard Seed Mercantile and why this mission means so much to me.
The truth is, there was a time when I didn't believe in God. For a while, I was a strong atheist. Other times, I called myself a Christian, but I wasn't truly living a relationship with Him.
Then life became incredibly difficult. I experienced many losses of friends and family, heartbreak, and moments where I honestly didn't want to wake up in the morning anymore. I felt lost and without hope.
Everything changed the day I found God.
Building a relationship with Jesus and spending time in His Word has been the most life-changing experience of my life. It didn't suddenly make life perfect, but it gave me peace, hope, purpose, and a joy I had never experienced before. My relationship with God has carried me through some of the darkest moments of my life, and I truly believe it saved me more than once.
That's why Mustard Seed Mercantile exists.
My goal isn't simply to sell candles. My hope is to encourage people to spend intentional time with God. Whether you've followed Jesus your whole life, you're just beginning your faith journey, or you're simply curious, I want these candles to serve as a gentle invitation to slow down, open your Bible, and spend a few moments with Him.
I know firsthand that it isn't always easy to sit still or stay focused. I struggle with that too. But I found that lighting a candle with the intention of reading Scripture while it burns helps me create that quiet moment with God. Those small moments have strengthened my faith day by day.
I want others to have that same opportunity.

The Experience
Every Mustard Seed Mercantile candle includes a thermal Scripture label.
As your candle burns, the label slowly darkens with the heat.
